What’s better than shopping local from artisanal shops? How about having 20 percent of proceeds support arts and community engagement programs in the Washington, DC metro area. This Friday through Sunday, The Washington Ballet is hosting their annual Sugar Plum Bazaar, a festive opportunity to shop from over two dozen specialty retailers in DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland, and beyond. All under one roof!
These boutique retailers, Spey among them, are taking over the Ballet’s England Studio and Fannie Mae Gallery with two purposes in mind: offer an amazing selection of foods and gifts just in time for the holiday season, and give back to an incredible arts institution in the process. Best of all, the three-day event is open to the public – so invite your friends! There will be opportunities to meet dancers with the Ballet, bid on exclusive silent auction items (check out the set of lustrous Spey akoya pearl studs), and indulge in some of DC’s finest small businesses.
In addition to the full Spey pearls collection (we are showcasing six new pieces you will only see at the Bazaar), explore local clothing and accessories companies, bakers and sweet shops, one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, and more. The silent auction includes jewelry (did we mention the pearls?), hotel stays in DC and other great cities, unique experiences, tickets to Redskins and Nationals games, dinners at select restaurants – even a 100 person party at the Dolci Gelati factory.
