With so many wild places and wild animals in our area it may be hard to spot them all. It may be advisable to contact one of the following to make the most of your stay in Speyside.

The Highland Badger Network is a loose-knit collection of people with the common interest of protecting the welfare of badgers living in the Scottish Highlands.    We operate under the umbrella of the national body "Scottish Badgers" who are recognised by the Scottish Executive, Scottish Natural Heritage, and the Police as the voice of badgers in Scotland. Booking is by arrangement over the phone or by email.

Wildlife Guide - Allan Bantick (www.cairngormwildlife.co.uk  - 01479 831768 or 07742 666157)

Allan and Heather are willing to put together guided walks for visitors to the Boat of Garten area who wish to get the best wildlife value out of their stay. The duration of each walk is entirely up to the client and could be as short as two hours or as long as the whole day. The target species for a walk will depend to some extent on the season (for example the ospreys are simply not here in winter) but otherwise it is up to the client which birds and animals we look for. Alternatively you could leave it to our discretion.
